Business

On MORT, the Business sub-team works on the business aspects of the team: mainly the Business plan, fundraising with the Chairman’s team, recruitment, and working to find new sponsor companies to sponsor our team. This sub-team usually works with the business clubs at Mount Olive High School– FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and DECA– to create a team business plan that highlights the business-related aspects of team itself. The Business sub-team also works closely with the Chairman’s sub-team to determine new ways to spread the messages of MORT and FIRST around the school and community, and is always looking to recruit new members around the school, especially incoming freshmen. This team also makes a weekly newsletter known as “Mort in a Minute” that is published each week during the team’s intense six week build season. The newsletter acts as a great way for everyone involved with the team to see the team in action through photos in the newsletter and to learn more about what the team is doing and what is being accomplished each week.
